Exercise can bring joy to the lives of many people, but it can also bring great pain. Experts said that regardless of whether you are a walker or a runner, wearing the wrong shoes can hurt you. Planter Fasciitis is a common complaint by runners who wear shoes that don't fit right.

"It's a tendon that runs along the bottom of the foot and attaches at the heel," said co-owner of Springfield Running Center, Matt Lamsargis. "People will think they have a bone bruise or something of that nature, it hurts worse when you get out of bed in the morning or after you have been sitting for a while."

Experts said a properly fitted pair of shoes is based off of arch height.
