Jason Aldean kicks off 'SNL' with message of strength after Vegas shooting

Less than a week after his performance at a Las Vegas country music festival was disrupted by gunfire that left dozens of audience members dead and hundreds of others injured, singer Jason Aldean delivered a message of resilience on "Saturday Night Live."

The country star opened the show with a performance of Tom Petty's "I Won't Back Down."

"When America is at its best, our bond and our spirit, it's unbreakable," Aldean said.

Petty died earlier this week.
