Brad Paisley Starts Fund For West Virginia Flood Victims
Country singer Brad Paisley is donating his own money to help people in his home state.
People magazine is reporting that paisley announced his fundraising campaign on Wednesday to help West Virginia flood victims, donating $100,000 of his own money.
The state experienced deadly flooding on June 23, at least 20 people were killed and small towns were destroyed.
Three counties have been declared federal disasters and 44 have been declared in a state of emergency.
The 43-year old entertainer set the goal at $1 million.
Over $220,000 has been donated as of Thursday morning.
