Hazardous Weather Outlook

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Illinois.  Day 1: This afternoon and tonight, showers and thunderstorms are expected today ahead of a cold front. Severe storms are not anticipated. Days 2-7: Tuesday through Sunday, for interests along the Illinois river, minor flooding is expected through most of the week from Havana to Beardstown. Thunderstorm chances will return by this weekend.

Remains Identified, Name Not Yet Released

Illinois State Police announced today that they have positively
identified the female skeletal remains found in a residential
neighborhood in Rochester on July 19.

An autopsy was conducted by
the Sangamon County Coroner, who confirmed that the remains matched the
description of a 43-year-old white female from Decatur.

This discovery was made due to forensic evidence.

The woman's name is not being released at this time, though next of kin have been notified.

On
Sunday, July 19, the Rochester Police Department responded to a call of
possible human remains found in a shed behind a house on the 300 block
of Park Street.

The motive and manner of death have not been
determined, and the investigation remains ongoing by the Illinois State
Police, Sangamon County Coroner's Office and Rochester Police
