Day four in the search for Mike Schmidt turns up no new leads
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WRSP) —
Day four of the search for missing arrowhead hunter Mike Schmidt has come up empty.
But officials said they are hoping to bring out more cadaver dogs Thursday to help find Schmidt.
Throughout this search there have been several different officials helping to search, such as the Sangamon County Sheriff's Office and the Taylorville Fire Department.
Schmidt's family said the friend he was hunting with lost track of him after being separated for a few minutes.
The fact that Schmidt is still missing is concerning to them because he has several health issues.
Currently, it is being called a search and recovery effort and asks the public to call them if they notice anything suspicious or concerning.
