District 186 teachers dressing casual for a cause
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WRSP) —
Wish you could switch your slacks for jeans today?
Hundreds of District 186 employees did just that on Wednesday all to help Big Brothers Big Sisters in Springfield.
There are nearly 1,300 District 186 employees.
If all employees paid $5 to step outside their normal wardrobe, $6,500 would go toward local district students.
"They provide great relationships with our kids,” Lee School Principal Nathan Konchanowski said. “We're here today to support them. Teachers at Lee School love a good jean day."
At Lee School alone 25 employees dressed down to help Big Brothers Big Sisters.
