Governor appoints new IEMA director
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WRSP) —
Governor Rauner has appointed a new acting director to lead the Illinois Emergency Management Agency.
Tuesday, Rauner announced current IEMA deputy director Joseph Klinger will replace director James Joseph.
Joseph was chosen by the Trump administration to oversee a 6-state FEMA region that includes Illinois.
Klinger has served as IEMA's deputy director since February 2015.
