Gubernatorial candidates stop by Champaign County Libertarian meeting
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCCU) —
The Champaign County Libertarian Party had a couple of guest speakers at their meeting Tuesday night.
Gubernatorial candidates Kash Jackson and Matthew Scaro attended the meeting.
Both took part in a Facebook live event.
The candidates are preparing for the primaries in March to get the Libertarian nominations.
"What may be affecting constituents here in Champaign, may not necessarily be issues over in Peoria,” libertarian gubernatorial candidate Kash Jackson said. “It's really an opportunity to not so much to speak at them but to listen to what their concerns are and then provide any valuable insight or solutions that I have for those issues."
A gubernatorial debate will be held this Saturday in southern Illinois for the Libertarian Party.
