No foul play suspected in Illinois School for the Deaf student death
JACKSONVILLE, Ill. (WRSP) —
The Morgan County Coroner tells us no foul play is suspected in the student's death.
The following statement was released by the Deputy Director of Communications for the Illinois Department of Human Services.
"We are sad to announce the death of a student at the Illinois School for the Deaf and an investigation is underway. Our thoughts are with the student’s family and friends during this difficult time and we ask that you respect their privacy. Additional counselors are on school grounds to provide support to staff and students."
The Superintendent of the Illinois School for the Deaf confirmed there has been a death on campus. At this moment they are not giving us anymore information.
We reached out to the Illinois State Police and they are not making any comments at this time.
