Jacksonville Digital Classroom Leaders have been meeting every month to share the latest cutting edge techniques.

"As a math teacher, I'm kind of stuck down in that corner of our school, and it's really nice to go and talk to other teachers in the music department and things like that," Jacksonville High School teacher, Phillip Johnson said. "It's really rewarding to see them using technology in a different way to benefit their subject."

Phil Wagener says he's made some valuable contributions to the group, like teaching instructors how to interact with classrooms in other countries.

"We just got done collaborating with Scotland. And what we did was get into different groups. We were assigned different questions, and we intermixed each other from Scotland and the U.S. And then we were of course going into different Google hangout groups and we researched different Psychological studies."

His class has worked on geographical projects with Canada and South Korea.

Wagener said thanks to DCL, other teachers can set up the same thing.

"I'm not just impacting 30 students that are in my classroom, but I can impact hundreds."
