Local Health Care Advocate Challenges Rep. Davis to Debate
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCCU) —
Thursday, the Champaign County Health Care Consumers held a panel to recap how they felt about congressman Rodney Davis' visit earlier this week.
Many say they don't feel any better about the newly introduced American Health Care Act. In fact, the director of the group says she's challenging the congressman to a public, moderated health care debate.
"The American Health Care Act would turn us back to the times when people have to fill out that long application and they actually get priced based on their preexisting conditions and their health status,” Director of Champaign County Claudia Lenhoff said.
So far, Lenhoff says the Congressman has not taken her up on her offer.
