Macoupin County homicide suspect arrested
CHESTERFIELD, Ill. (WRSP) —
Homicide suspect, 34-year-old David Buck of the 200 block of E. Charles, Medora, IL., is being held at the Macoupin County Jail on a no-bond warrant from the Texas Department of Corrections.
At this time there are no criminal charges against David Buck through Macoupin County.
On 01-08-18 at 2:31 p.m. the Macoupin County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a female that had been shot in the 400 block of Main St. Chesterfield, Illinois. The 911 caller advised dispatch of the make and model of the vehicle in which the suspect fled from the scene in.
Before arriving at the scene, Macoupin County Chief Deputy located the suspect’s vehicle; the Chief Deputy began pursuing the suspect’s vehicle along with Jersey County Deputies. The pursuit went into Jersey County where he was finally apprehended. No one was injured in the pursuit.
Upon arrival at the residence, Deputies discovered 34 year old Rachel Warren of the 400 Block of N. Main St. Chesterfield, IL deceased.
Assistance from the Illinois State Police was requested. Also involved in the investigation is the Jersey County Sheriff’s Office.
A suspect is in Custody at the Macoupin County Jail but has not yet been charged in the death of Rachel Warren.
