Mattoon shooting victim released from hospital
MATTOON, Ill. (WCCU) —
More than a week after a school shooting, Mattoon police are speaking out about the crime.
Police now confirming that there was indeed a single shooter who was subdued by a school teacher before being disarmed by a resource officer.
Nearly 250 students and staff members have been interviewed.
Police said they haven't yet found evidence to support bullying as a motive.
One student was shot during the incident but since been released from the hospital.
