One Injured in Fire at Treu Body Works in Lincoln
LINCOLN, Ill. (WRSP) —
The Lincoln Fire Department is investigating a fire at an auto body shop.
Officials said the fire at Treu Auto Body Shop broke out just before noon Wednesday.
One employee was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The fire chief said they believe mechanical failure of a machine in the shop could have started the blaze,
He also explained that fire crews had to take extra precautions due to the location of the fire.
“The owners were here, the employees advised us right away that the section of the building where the fire was, was their paint storage, so it was a hazard area,” Lincoln Fire Chief, Mark Miller said.
One fire fighter was sent to the hospital as a precaution after becoming over heated on the scene.
The Mount Pulaski Fire Department also assisted in putting the fire out.
