United Cerebral Palsy Gala Sustaining Through Budget Impasse
April 23, 2016 —
People in central Illinois put on their best attire for the 36th Annual United Cerebral Palsy Land of Lincoln Gala.
There was great turn out at the Wyndham Springfield City Centre, where money was raised through a live and silent auction.
All proceeds go toward programs and services that benefits those affected by cerebral palsy.
Even through the budget impasse, United Cerebral Palsy Land of Lincoln doesn't want any families to miss out services.
"With the budget impasse we've had a hit. We want to make sure we can sustain these programs that are so important to families within our service network," says board member Jill Egizii.
One program guests bid on tonight was a camp for children with cerebral palsy, where kids get a camp experience without disability restrictions.
