When talking about racial and ethnic minoritized groups, we are typically referring to African Americans, Hispanics, Asians, Native Americans, and other minorities. There are reports, including one by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), that have confirmed that these groups experience higher rates of illness and death across a wide range of health conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, obesity, asthma, and heart disease when compared to their White counterparts.
