13th Annual Innovation Celebration held in Champaign
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCCU) — Parkland College hosted the 13th Annual Innovation Celebration Thursday night.
The Innovation Celebration recognized and celebrated those who contribute to the continued success of Champaign County's economy.
Many local entrepreneurs were in attendance, most were nominated for an award.
Award categories recognized entrepreneurial excellence and excellence in innovation.
"This event is really to celebrate all the amazing people and companies and technology and innovation that is happening here in Champaign County,” said the assistant director of the Champaign County Economic Development Corporation Carly McCrory. “It's just a really good mix and showcase of all the cool things that are happening here in our community."
More than 350 people attended Thursday's event.
