DECATUR, Ill. (WRSP) — 27 pounds of marijuana and cocaine cannot be used as evidence against a Decatur man.
Keith Halliburton was arrested last year after picking up two packages from the U.S. Postal Service containing drugs.
In a suppression hearing last week, the defense argued Halliburton’s constitutional rights were violated because police executed the search warrant too soon.
The state's attorney can now appeal the ruling or dismiss the charges against Halliburton.
