3 arrested in Decatur Long John Silver's murder

    Decatur police are reporting three arrests have been made in connection to the deadly shooting at the Decatur Long John Silver's on January 4.

    On January 7, Decatur Police Detectives arrested a 15-year-old Decatur boy on a first-degree murder charge.

    U.S. Marshals later arrested Matthew Anderson, Jr. on January 11 on a warrant for first-degree murder.

    On January 14, U.S. Marshals arrested Jaquarius West in Caruthersville, Missouri. West is being held at the Pemiscot County Jail pending extradition back to Macon County, Illinois.

    The deadly shooting happened on January 4.

    Decatur Police were called to the Long John Silver's on West Eldorado for reports of shots fired.

    Officers found a man inside the restaurant with multiple gunshot wounds.

    He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

    A second man was taken to St. Mary's Hospital with life threatening injuries.

    He was later flown to St. John's in Springfield.

    His current condition is unknown at this time.
