Carle Hospital to launch mobile health clinic
Carle Hospital is launching a mobile health clinic to under-served members of the Champaign-Urbana community.
The 40-foot treatment unit helps families get in-person, same-day care from Carle Hospital doctors, nurses and social workers.
The clinic will provide non-critical services for infants through adult care, such as immunizations and chronic condition screening and education.
The plan is to have the mobile clinic roll out to communities by mid-July.
"It's here for everyone. We're doing all that we can to remove barriers. There is wheelchair access, there is translational services for those that may have English-speaking challenges. It really is here to serve the entire family and everyone in the community," Vice President of the Community Health Initiative Julianna Sellet said.
