Central Illinois Foodbank receives high food safety score

    The Central Illinois Foodbank recently scored 950 out of 1,000 on an AIB International Consolidated Standards for Food Distribution Centers' audit, a comprehensive food safety program.

    This is the highest score the foodbank has earned to date. A score of 700 is required in order to pass.

    The program's scoring is based on five categories, including operational methods and personnel practices, maintenance for food safety, cleansing practices, pest management and food safety programs.
