Danville Police continue to search for 18-year-old Deontae Bright in connection to a double homicide that took place over the weekend.

According to the police report, three people were shot at Untouchables Motorcycle Club around 2:00 a.m. Saturday.

Two of the victims died as a result.

The coroner identified them on Monday as 17-year-old Tahji S. McGill and 23-year-old Albert L. Gardner, Jr.

According to police, the third shooting victim, a 36-year-old man, was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries and has since been released.

By 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, police issued an arrest warrant for Bright in connection to the shooting, but he has not yet been located.

Danville Director of Public Safety Larry Thomason said they are investigating this as a premeditated shooting.

“We believe the incident itself was a targeted situation,” Thomason said. “Not a random situation."

Thomason said at this point in the investigation, police can’t reveal how the victims knew one another, or the suspect.

As investigators continue their search, they said the community's help may be the key to closing this case.

“If the community steps up tells us some information and gives us some leads… we can work as partners and the faster we are able to clear a case." Thomason said.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Danville Police right away. Tips can also be made anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 217-446-TIPS
