Danville police investigating alleged Jimmy Johns robbery
DANVILLE, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) —
Danville police are investigating a robbery incident that occurred Tuesday at a Jimmy Johns restaurant in Danville.
The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. and officials responded to the Jimmy Johns located in the 300 block of Fairchild Street.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with an employee who stated he was robbed while delivering food. The victim said he was in the 900 block of Franklin Street making a delivery when he was approached by two male black subjects who allegedly began punching him and demanded money.
The victim was allegedly robbed of an undisclosed amount of money and sustained minor injuries.
The suspects were last seen running eastbound from the scene.
The investigation is still ongoing.
