Danville police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred Saturday, May 19.

Police responded to the scene around 9:20 p.m. at the unit block of Bremer Street with a report of shots fired.

Officers found a 46-year-old Danville man with a gunshot wound to his hand. According to officials, the victim said he was in the area when several shots were fired and he was struck in the hand.

The victim was then transported to an area hospital for treatment. His wound was non-life threatening.

The investigation is still ongoing.
