Donations from across the country go to Memorial Medical Center
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WRSP) — Since the beginning of the year, the Brandt Foundation raised over $30,000 for Memorial Medical Center.
And for the first time, employees raised money and the company matched the amount.
Brandt officials say they chose Memorial because it is an important part of the community where their headquarters is located.
They say they received donations from central Illinois and across the country.
"I couldn't be happier with what we've done," said Brandt CEO Rick Brandt. “I love having the foundation and being able to do things for charities and events, but to have all the employees come and be a part of a team effort was just incredible.”
Memorial plans to put the money back into the community through their grant program, which will help fund research and education.
