SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — The University of Illinois Springfield is helping students dress to impress with their annual suit drive.
It’s all for National Career Development Month.
From now, Monday, Nov. 12, through Nov. 16, UIS will be collecting suits, blazers, slacks, ties, anything you would wear to an interview.
Those behind the drive believe recent grads may have the skills, but looking the part will help them further their goals.
“We know first impressions leave an impact. We want our students not only to present themselves well when talking about their skills, but also to look the part of a professional as well,” Kathyy Battee-Freeman said.
If you wish to donate, donations are being accepted at the Student Affairs Building, room 50, on the east side of the UIS campus from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
