URBANA, ILL. (WCCU) -- Jacuzzis, sleeping space for family and flexible visiting hours are just a few of the added comforts expecting mothers can have in their rooms when delivering at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana just opened six new rooms, where mothers with low-risk pregnancies can access labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum services all in the same place.
"They do all of the things in one place,” Carle Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager Ashley Lingafelter, said. “They get to keep their same nurse or their same team of nurses and then have their uninterrupted bonding time with their baby."
Carle has a total of six rooms with the mentioned amenities, plus dozens of additional rooms to meet every mom’s needs.
