Still developing in rural Danville, a house has been torn apart after a fire rips through it.

Fire officials were called out to Clinton Road around 4 p.m. and began putting out the flames, they had to demolish the house in order to get to the flames and put them out more efficiently.

The owner of the home estimates the house was 10,000 square feet, he built in in the 90s.

The family was not in the house at the time of the fire, no injuries have been reported.

Multiple crews are still on the scene and plan to be for a few more hours.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, right now they do believe it started in the attic on the second floor.
