Fix-it station installed to help make Lincoln more bike friendly
Lincoln, Illinois is trying to be more bike friendly by installing the city's first fix-it station at Latham Park thanks in part to Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
The station was installed last Friday and includes several tools; such as an air pump to help cyclists keep their bikes in top shape and help assist them in case of an emergency.
“A lot of people don't have everything on their bike. They do sell accessories that you can have to have with you but sometimes you don't always take those things or don't have those outfitted on your bike. To have that there already for you, make it a lot easier,” Manager of Ace Bike Shop Rich Moscardelli said.
In addition to the fix-it station, several bike racks have also been installed throughout the city.
