CHATHAM, Ill. (WICS/WCCU) -- Glenwood High School has been evacuated after a threat was found written on a wall.
Students are now on the football field.
School officials tell us school will get out at the normal time.
Officials also don't believe this to be a credible threat, but are still taking precautions.
The following message was sent out after the threat was found:
This afternoon, August 30, a threatening message was found written on a bathroom wall at Glenwood High School. Due to the time of day the message was found, the Ball-Chatham School District has ordered that GHS students be evacuated to the high school football field. School administrators, safety and security staff, along with local law enforcement officers will be conducting a search of the facility. Students will remain at the football field until dismissal time, but not allowed back in the building until the all-clear is given. All afterschool activities and practices will be delayed until the all-clear is given.
