The Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police is backing a federal bill that blocks the sale of firearms to known or suspected terrorists.

U.S. Senator Diane Feinstein has introduced an amendment that would give the Attorney General the authority to block a sale of a gun to anyone with suspected terrorist ties.

The ILACP president called the measure "common sense" and says the organization fully supports it.
