Illinois correctional employee charged with sexual misconduct
A Logan Correctional Center employee has been released from jail and faces custodial sexual misconduct charges.
The Logan County State's Attorney tells us Jeffrey W. Dozier is charged with three counts of custodial sexual misconduct, a class 3 felony, against a female inmate.
The charges allege Dozier knowingly engaged in sexual conduct with a female inmate at the Logan Correctional Center on or between September 1, 2017 and May 1, 2018.
Dozier was arrested at the Springfield Police Department by the U.S. Marshals Task Force on a Logan County warrant. He was later taken to the Sangamon County Jail. His bail was set at $50,000.
He has since bonded out.
No word on when his next court date will be.
