Illinois Governor's Race: One candidate spends $207K a day, another spends $56
The most expensive governor’s race in U.S. history picking up steam.
Since the March Primary, records from the Illinois State Board of Elections show billionaire gubernatorial candidates J.B. Pritzker and Bruce Rauner have spent a combined $29.7 million.
That doesn’t include July expenses.
An average of Pritzker’s spending since the Primary race shows he spent $207,543.43 a day.
That’s more than double Rauner’s average daily spending, which came in at $83,182.87.
Conservative candidate Sam McCann has spent $240,120.93 since the Primary. That comes out to a daily average of $2,354.13.
Libertarian candidate Kash Jackson has spent $5,801.74 since the Primary, which comes out to a daily average of $56.
