Lawyers for accused kidnapper overwhelmed by amount of evidence
Lawyers for accused kidnapper Brendt Christensen stated in a court document filed Friday that there is too much evidence in this case.
The defense went on to request that the government reveal which evidence they plan to use at the April 2019 trial.
The document stated, "Defendant requests that the Court order the Government to disclose to the defense notice of the evidence it intends to use."
Also in that pretrial motion, the defense said so far they have, “received approximately 11,500 pages of written discovery, fifty-eight disks containing audio and video recordings, photographs, computer and telephone forensics, telephone records, and hundreds (if not thousands) of jail calls and text messages”
Christensen is accused of kidnapping and killing University of Illinois visiting scholar Yingying Zhang.
