SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) -- Lincoln Land Community College is pulling out of the Adam Lopez/SNAP Fitness Thanksgiving Tournament. This comes days after the investigation into Adam Lopez was revealed.
The family of Springfield School Board Vice President Adam Lopez reports $600,000 went missing after Lopez was put in charge of it.
The family tells us they went from having $630,000 invested in 2015 to $1,500 today.
Lincoln Land Community College Statement regarding Adam Lopez/SNAP Fitness Thanksgiving Tournament:
Due to uncertainties surrounding pending investigations of Adam Lopez, Lincoln Land Community College will rescind its tournament hosting agreement with Mr. Lopez and SNAP Fitness effective immediately.
College administrators will work with Lanphier High School to develop alternate tournament arrangements in support of the eight teams who have been invited to participate.
