Man facing charges after DUI crash with 2 young girls in car
EFFINGHAM, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — An Altamont man is facing a number of charges after a single-vehicle crash in Effingham near Lake Sara.
Illinois State Police says a car was traveling northeast on North Lakeview Drive at Misty Lane when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
Donald T. Bush, 31, then swerved off of the roadway, hit a tree, and came to a resting point in a ditch.
ISP says Bush left the scene but was later found.
He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
Two juvenile girls were in the car at the time of the crash.
Bush is facing charges of DUI-alcohol, obstructing/resisting a peace officer, endangering the life of a child, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to report a crash, leaving the scene of a property damage crash, and illegal transportation of alcohol.
