New express voting machines arrive in Champaign County

URBANA, Ill. (WICS/WCCU) — There are three new express voting machines at the Brookens Administrative Center in Urbana.

These terminals are designed to make voting faster and easier for everyone.

They also will assist those with disabilities who have trouble with traditional voting methods.

"It's quicker, it's more efficient," Champaign County Clerk Aaron Ammons said. "They can still see who they voted for and we still have the paper trail, so it's important to note it can be used by anyone."

In addition to the three at the Brookens Administrative Center, there is now at least one voting express machine at each of the Champaign County voting sites.
