Congressman Rodney Davis took a tour of Urbana's Head Start Program Center Wednesday morning. The program provides kindergarten readiness programs to children that come from income-eligible families.

Davis shook the little ones' hands and even read a book to one class.

Fox Champaign caught up with Davis at the event, where he shared his thoughts on healthcare reform.

"Cutting Medicaid's growth, only in Washington would you consider that a cut, of an unsustainable program that's leaving 60 million people behind when it comes to healthcare coverage in this country,” Davis said. “We've got to do something and I hope and pray that we get some bipartisan action on reforming our broken health care system."

The Congressman will be back in the area October 30 to hold open office hours in Monticello.
