Illinois Senators Dick Durbin and Mark Kirk congratulated the Chicago Cubs for winning The World Series.
Mark Kirk said this season was an unforgettable one, and being able to fly the W after 108 years is very fitting.
Senator Durbin said the Cubs are back on top, "Gone are the curse of the billy goat and the omen of the black cat. Congratulations once again to the players, coaches, management, and the best fans in baseball."
Other U.S. Senators from Indiana, Joe Donnelly and Dan Coats, are also Cubs fans.
Donnelly said he's proud to see the Cubs win the championship.
