Third suspect in Alaysia Bennett homicide captured

Demarco Jones, age 30, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force

Demarco Jones, the third suspect in the Alaysia Bennett homicide, turned himself into the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force on Saturday without incident. His bond has been set at $2 million.

He is being held in the Sangamon County Jail.

He faces two counts of first-degree murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm and attempted armed robbery.

His next court date is October 26.
