U of I student accuses man of inappropriate touching

Offender U of I police are warning students about.


U of I police have identified the person responsible for Thursday's incident, and do not believe that there is any remaining public safety threat to the campus community.

University of Illinois police are alerting campus community members about an incident that happened on campus.

Police say a student reported a man inappropriately touched them around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday. The student says the man followed them up a staircase at the Natural History Building, 1301 W. Green Street, and squeezed the student's buttocks.

U of I Police did not include certain details in their campus alert so as to avoid releasing identifying information about the victim.
