A legacy that began back in 1984 when Leonard took over the program. We take a look back at his legendary career, his love for the game, and the true impact he's had on his players.
Part of Ken Leonard's legendary career has to do with the impact he's had on the community. After 38 seasons, Leonard has coached hundreds of kids. The few we spoke to all had one thing in common, they say coach Leonard is one of the most monumental people in their lives.
You may know Sacred Heart-Griffin football head coach Ken Leonard for all of his accomplishments on the field, but off the field he's found equal success: as a husband, a father to three sons and a grandfather of five.
It's truly remarkable what Sacred Heart-Griffin head coach Ken Leonard has accomplished in 38 seasons. Retirement is well deserved. Thank you for creating such a rich high school football tradition here in Central Illinois.
