Greg Eboigbodin becomes 6th Illini to leave basketball program this offseason

Greg Eboigbodin scored 65 points and hauled in 73 rebounds for Illinois in his freshman season.

Another player transferring from the University of Illinois men's basketball team. Greg Eboigbodin, known by the fans as Spicy G, announcing his intentions to transfer on Twitter this afternoon.

The 6-9 forward thanked Illini Nation for their amazing support while adding he was grateful to God, the University of Illinois, and the coaching staff for the opportunity. Eboigbodin stated there were many factors that led to this decision and asks people to respect his decision adding that he will always cherish his time at Illinois.

Eboigbodin marks the 6th Illini player to leave the program this offseason.
