Illini O-Line looking to build upon last seasons experience

Illinois brings back 47 starts on the offensive line from last season

Illinois made history on the offensive line last season, as Alex Palczewski, Larry Boyd, and Vederian Lowe became the first trio of true freshman to start a game on the line together.

That trio gained valuable experience though. Now taking part in their first spring practice slate, veteran offensive lineman Nick Allegretti is seeing the growth in the young players.

Now, the unit looks to get in football shape to be ready to take part in new offensive coordinator Rod Smith's fast paced offensive attack.
