Illinois volleyball brings home 5 All-Region accolades, but focused on Sweet 16

    Illini ready for a Sweet 16 matchup against Marquette

    One week seperated from earning 6 individual Big Ten awards, No. 3 Illinois volleyball received even more accolades.

    The Fighting Illini earning 5 AVCA All-Region Honors.

    Setter Jordyn Poulter named AVCA Northeast Region Player of the Year as well as All-Region. Middle blocker Ali Bastianelli and outside hitter Jacqueline Quade were also named All Northeast Region.

    Illinois head coach Chris Tamas named Northeast Region Coach of the Year as well as Illinois won its 30th match of the season.

    Next up for the Fighting Illini, a trip to the Sweet 16 against No. 15 Marquette, another match Illinois will host at Huff Hall. The Illini are hoping for another great crowd on Friday despite an 11 am start time.
